Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national level examination conducted by CBSE on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Government of India to determine eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers for Classes I to VIII.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts CTET as entrusted by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The CTET certificate is valid for lifetime from the date of declaration of result, as per the latest public notice.
Examination
CTET has two papers - Paper I for Classes I to V and Paper II for Classes VI to VIII. Candidates can appear for one or both papers.
CTET is conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode at designated centres across India.
